Propellant:
Nitrogen (N₂) gas, stored at approximately 12-18 bar (174-261 psi) when fully charged. Non-corrosive and maintains powder fluidity.
Cylinder:
Seamless steel cylinder, typically painted signal red (RAL 3000). Robust construction tested to withstand significantly higher pressures than operating levels. Equipped with a carrying handle.
Valve Assembly:
Piercing-type valve with a secure locking safety pin and tamper seal. Features an ergonomic trigger lever for controlled discharge.
Pressure Indicator (Gauge):
Integrated pressure gauge clearly displays charge status:
* Green Zone:
Correct pressure (Ready for use).
* Red Zone (Low):
Undercharged (Requires servicing).
* Red Zone (High):
Overcharged (Requires servicing - less common).
Discharge Hose & Nozzle:
Flexible, reinforced rubber or PVC hose (approx. 40-60 cm / 16-24 inches long) connected to a diffuser horn nozzle. Designed for precise direction of powder stream and effective dispersion.
Operating Instructions:
Clear, pictorial operating instructions are prominently displayed on the label, detailing the P.A.S.S. technique:
* Pull the safety pin.
* Aim the nozzle at the base of the fire.
* Squeeze the handle lever.
* Sweep from side to side.
Mounting Bracket:
